Kaheen is a bespoke travel company founded by Shashank Arora in 2018 and based in Bengaluru. We design journeys from scratch across Europe, Japan and beyond, for travellers from India.
The Name
In Hindi, kaheen means somewhere. It’s an unfinished word, the start of a sentence that ends wherever the traveller wants it to. Chalo kaheen: let’s go somewhere.
The Founder
Shashank Arora grew up in travel. Before Kaheen, he worked in his family’s travel agency, learning the business from the inside: the suppliers, the paperwork, and what goes wrong when nobody is paying attention.
He started Kaheen because travellers had changed faster than the industry serving them. They wanted fewer packages and more taste, journeys built around how they actually like to move, and someone who would stay with them beyond the itinerary itself.
He travels the way Kaheen plans: a handful of places, each done slowly. A good coffee, a long walk, one or two places worth lingering in, and enough unscheduled time to follow a side street.
